Review: I'm on my second Tough Case. As tough as it was, my first one didn't survive the fall from the roof of the car at 35 mph. The phone did, however, without a scratch. And that's why I got another. The "double" case structure fits really well and protects even better. I also like the way the rubber inner sleeve and hard plastic outer case extend past the face of the phone, protecting it even when you put it face down. Slides in and out of your pocket with ease.

Review: The I design my own tough case for iphone 4s is amazing. The inner layer silicone keeps its shape and keeps out dust/debris from getting in between the phone and the silicone. The outer shell is sleek and doesnt have much grip, Mainly its just for looks, since you get to put your own picture on it. As for setting down your phone, make sure to put it face down so the silicone can grip the surface, if you place it face up you are bound to scratch the outer shell. The silicone has a lay on the table design which protects the screen from scratches when you put your phone down. The buttons are easy to press (there is no extra hulk strength required) and the audio jack and silencer is easily accessible. I love this case and it protects my phone completely. Its not bulky at all and fits my iphone like a glove.

Review: I've dropped my phone several times, and my Tough Case has been great at keeping my phone safe. However, after a little more than a year of use, the plastic of the outer case is chipping away and breaking. Better the case than my phone, but it's still annoying to have to buy another case so quickly.

Review: Great protection.. fits the iphone like a glove. However I have also purchased the tough case for the Sensation Xe and I feel that the plastic used for the hard cover at the back is much thinner for the iphone and not of the same quality.

Review: After spending a few hours on line researching cases I finally decided on the Case-Mate Tough case. It is worth every penny! I did the DIY case with my own pictures and I get a ton of compliments. Even better is how tough it is. I have dropped it more than once and with the inner liner the phone stays safe. The case never gets scratched and the colors stay true!

Review: I got this case and did a DIY. It originally appealed to me because I could customize it, but luckily it turned out to be a really good case as well. I have dropped my phone several times and this case has protected it. I did have a problem with the rubber inner case being loose when I got it, but customer service was fantastic and they sent me a new one within a couple days. All in all its a great buy!

Review: I have had this case for only four months and the rubber part has already broken. There are two parts, the outer shell and the inner shell which is a sort of rubber material. Unfortunately, after only having this product for a few months the rubber part broke on the lower left-hand side of the case. I had high expectations for this, I read a large number of reviews on Amazon and other sites, but unfortunately it did not last.

silicone + hard cases separate slightly |

Purchased From: casemate website
Review: I wanted a case that was protective for drops. This one is terrific, it's definitely protective without going overboard.
I really loved my friend's Pop case (also from CaseMate) but the hard shell would have made it impossible to use with my car cassette adapter or with my power cord - neither one would have fit in the corresponding holes on the Pop case.
They don't technically fit in this case either, but the silicone over those areas allows for enough give that both accessories can be connected easily without removing the case.
I also wanted a good grip, and the grip on this case is fabulous.
It was super easy to put on and for the most part looks neat and trim on the phone. the hard part of the case does separate a bit from the silicone, but it doesn't actually come off so this is more a matter of offending my visual perfectionism.
It doesn't come apart at all in the corner with the volume buttons. Perhaps future versions can have holes in the hard case at each corner that fit over raised silicone nubs?
If this were my absolute dream case, it would have a kickstand. As it is, the edges are flat enough (at least on the non-volume-button side) that it will more or less stand on its side, though it is a bit precarious and prefers to lean a little against something.
The silicone strip across the bottom front will probably be the first part to go, but with no reason for it to be stretched or stressed I hope that won't happen for a while.
I got the pink and it looks great.
