7 months until defects occurred
Normal wear and tear, but the cases scratch easily. I think there were multiple scratches within the first couple weeks. Understandable, but the durability of the case is quality for protection from drops is very good. The only real concern was when the thin part of the protection located where you plug the charger broke through just wear. It's the weakest part of the product and it will eventually lead to the demise of the rest of the case, the rubber is starting to scrape off slowly and eventually I'll have to find a new one.

Have been using this case a year now and happy with it. Have dropped my phone once or twice without any damage to the phone. The model I have is the black and dark grey so with the exception of the glossy back being scratched from use it looks fine... and the back does not look all that bad even with the scratches. As I mentioned in the Cons section the only drawback is the width of the slot in the bottom being a little to small for some chargers. Plugging in a larger charger is probably how I cracked my case. Even though it has this flaw I am looking to purchase another just for a color change and will be getting one for my wife's phone too.

Great but for one thing
After about a year, the rubber strip along the bottom front pulled away so there is about a 1/4 inch gap that gets incrementally bigger. Underneath the thin rubber strip is a thin piece of plastic which has broken. It will never be flush to the phone any more and, in fact, the gap is growing. At the moment this is more aesthetics but when it breaks in two, it will leave the front bottom edge unprotected. Other than that, it's great. The rubber around the edges makes it less likely to slip from my hand and it protects the face when the phone is laid face down. The fit is very good so it adds very little bulk.

Wish Casemate would fix this...
I am on my second case-mate now, and I really do love them. I had the white and grey one first, but it got so destroyed after a 8 months that I had to purchase a new one. Now I am on the pink and grey. Have had it for... 2 months. Broken already. If you can do one thing, case-mate, it would be to fix the bottom holder and make it lay flat!!
Other than that, fantastic product.

Poor Quality Control - Warped Case
My wife bought the white Pop case at Radio Shack and I was impressed with how well it fit and was made. RS did not have the gray which I wanted, so I ordered it online. The case arrived and the hard plastic back is warped convexly so it rest on the very center of the back hard plastic, NOT on the rubber sides as designed. The result is that it spins and slides on any hard surface. It also scratches at the high-spot in the rear center. The hard case part on rear of my wife's case is flat and unwarped, so the phone rests on the soft rubber edges regardless which side is up.
I like to set mine screen-up but it's unstable with the warped case. Yes I can return it, but I'll loose my $7.24 shipping -- I should get a FULL refund since the case is defective, but it doesn't look like I will.

Awesome Case
For the price I think it is an awesome case. I love it, I have the White/Grey and I have no complaints so far. I would definitely recommend this to anyone else who has an I Phone 4S. I like how it is very durable and not bulky like the other brand. Overall great purchase.
