I have a light-colored Phantom case. My jeans seems to be rubbing off on the case. Why?
Indigo dye may rub onto the light-colored Phantom cases. The DuoFlex material has similar qualities to soft leather goods and indigo dye may rub onto the case.
A must-have case!
I love this case! I was weary of purchasing this case, because I had read reviews about the washed out photos. However, after contacting Case-mate customer service, they assured me that this problem had been fixed.
I recently had to purchase a new iPhone because my last one received water damage. My old phone was in a silicon case and received water damage just from condensation of drinks on a table that happened to seep through the headphone jack (I was also in a damp climate - Costa Rica). I was devastated that I had to buy a new phone and immediately began to hunt for phones with port covers. Most cases with port covers are either a) very expensive and unattractive, or b) have removable port covers that I would be guaranteed to loose. The port covers on this case are great! they are easy to access/pop open, and lay flat when closed.
This case is so durable, I was riding my bike with my case in my pocket and it fell out on the pavement without a scratch! It comes with a built in screen protector that adds extra scratch protection.
The second thing I was weary about when I ordered this case was the bulk. I was pleasantly surprised. Although it is bulkier than other cases, it is still pretty slim - not even close to the bulk of an Otterbox case.
Overall, best case I have ever had - seriously recommend it to anyone looking for extra protection, style, and especially if you are worried about water damage to your phone.

Decent case
This case is good, but not great. I bought the teal blue one, and after a couple of months the edges have turned an off gray color. Not a fan. The case is extremely bulky, which is great for protection but it is too bulky for my liking.

First day with my Phantom - I like it!
This is not a long term review, so I cannot speak to the case's durability yet. But from what I can feel and see with my own eyes, this case is seriously protective. I feel like it's close to indestructible - not that I want to test that! I like the raspberry and lime, though recognize that it might not float everyone's boat. The case looks smart, modern, girly and not overly decorated with logos or contrasting colors: all big pluses in my book. It does however look bulky to me, especially as a female with pretty petite sized hands. That said, it's a small price to pay for knowing that my iPhone is hardcore protected. Pretty simple to assemble, everything stays put, and so far, so good! I'm glad I did my research and made the investment on this slightly-pricier-than-average but durable, cute case.

Having worked for a top competitor to Case-Mate for 2 years, I learned to be critical of mobile device case design, and have seen them all. The Phantom is simply amazing. By far the most well-made, protective, simple, and tactilely pleasing case I've ever found. It feels like a tank, The camera flash haze is definitely a problem. Not sure why, as the rim of plastic facing the flash is matte black (not white like in the photos). Maybe Case-Mate will update the design to fix the issue.
