Review: As shown in the picture, the top on this case has worn out. Also, the two sections of the body of the case have started to come apart. So far, a piece of scotch tape around each end holds them together though. At $20, I cannot imagine a better value: after three years of constant use, I am happy to buy the same case again.

Review: What can I say. I purchased this holster right after getting my 3GS and am still using the same holster. Yes, it does show some age but the main point of the clip and clasp still functioning are still intact. Many ask me why I have not purchased a new one and I simply reply "why" ? It still works fine.

Review: I purchased the Case-Mate iPhone 4 case twice and am now going to buy my third. I love the case because it's perfect for this phone, and very convenient and good looking. However, after about a year's use, the flap comes apart because the glue that holds it to the metal snap wears out. I don't abuse it, it just wears out. If this could be improved, it would be perfect. As it stands, I have to keep replacing it every year :-(

Review: I received this product 2 weeks ago, and so far, love it. I REALLY wanted to the horizontal hipster (what a great looking, well thought out product) but got cold feet due to MULTIPLE reviews about the unreliable belt clip.
I searched the ENTIRE internet for 4 days after I bought my 4S. I had GhostArmor put on, so I knew i was going to carry my phone without a bumper or other type of case. This case (other than the magnetic button) fit the bill.
Let me tell you, upon receiving it, I was impressed. I've had VAJA and SENA cases or my previous phones, but wasn't impressed with their offering for the iphone. This company, as another reviewer put it, has the market cornered. These were the two best products (this and horizontal hipster) I could find. Since the reviews on the hipster were less than glamourous (until they figure out the belt-clip thing), I figured I'd try my chances with this one.
Let me tell you, customer service shipped same day and I received it 2 days later. INCREDIBLE. Won me over right there. The fit/finish is on par with Vaja and Sena. It holds the iPhone perfectly and doesn't "flop" around in the case (which is what I was really looking for). Easy to remove, easy to put in.
If you are hesitating, DO NOT! This is a great case for the business work environment.

Review: I received this case in the mail last week and the first time I slid in my iphone 3gs it fell apart.... Two pieces in my hand!
I considered calling & sending it back but instead I decided to fix it myself.
I took "super glue" and put it back together.
A few days later the fabric on the inside of the lid started to come free so I glued that back in place as well.
I know this sounds bad and it is but I am sure my glue job is better then getting a replacement that is poorly glued again.
All and all I like the look and fit of this case, just needs a better adhesive.
But I assume it had its last production run.

Review: I used the Hipster for the iPhone 3GS until I was eligible for the upgrade to the iPhone 4S. I had a great experience with the Hipster that I wanted another for the new phone. I didn't use a case for the 3GS and I was sorry I didn't. I now have the Barely There case on the new 4S phone but I was forced to buy a competitors leather pouch so the phone fits. I will use this until the Leather Hipster is enlarged to fit the iPhone 4S with the case on it. Please don't make me wait too long!

Review: The pros and cons sections pretty much say it all. This is a reasonably priced case for my iPhone and I like it so much I bought a second one after the first wore out. It's strong, well-made, and the phone smoothly slides in and out. The look is attractive and the snap is easy to open and close. I will likely continue to buy this case, but it could depend on whether an improvement is made on attaching the leather to the clip (it keeps separating). The leather covering on the clip on the back quickly deteriorates at the bottom area, exposing the metal sheeting underneath. I have had two of these cases and this consistently is the main problem I've had. I end up gluing it back together, but it still comes apart after awhile. It helped some to attach a piece of felt over this area to reinforce it. The cloth portion around the snap could also be secured better. Although this cloth has not separated on my cases, it has become baggy and threatens to pull away from the case when the magnetic pull is unfastened. I've glued that too once and it held, but shouldn't have had to glue it at all.

Review: I bought my Leather Hipster in early July 2010, shortly after the iPhone 4 hit the market. At that time, I don't think that they had the dimensions right for the interior fit of the holster, as it would not fit my phone with the thinnest case that I could find on the market. The case itself was of superior quality and workmanship, very good looking, and I was disappointed that I had to send it back. I had the same case for my iPhone 3GS, and it fit well with a case, and was outstanding in performance. The fit of the iPhone 4 holster was just too tight to be practical in everyday use. They may have modified the inside dimensions since then. If they have, I would highly recommend this product. If they haven't, I would recommend that you select a different holster.

Review: Recently upgraded to 4g. Loved this case for 3g and highly recommend for that phone. It covers and protects back, face and CORNERS of phone where other hip holsters leave corners exposed and at greater risk of damage if the phone is dropped. 4g is very slightly longer but thinner and the protective inflexible leatherette covered plastic shell leaves no "give" to accommodate a bumper. It works for 4g but only without bumper or any other case, leaving phone bare and unprotected when in use. I am eagerly awaiting a redesign of this case specifically for 4g phone with shell protector. I will use this case for my 4g until something better comes along and will be among the first to order a new one when this case is available re-designed for the 4g.

Review: This case is stated as not being made for the phone but I doubt you would ever know it.It has the perfect amount of play inside the case to make it easy to get it out when you want to without having to worry about popping it out on the ground. It fits close to your body so it does not get snagged on the seat belt in the car or bump against things all day long. And it does not look like a black block on your side either!
I am very impressed by this case and cannot wait to get the newest one when it is available!

Review: The clip bending issue is better than it ripping off the holder, and is easily bent back to an appropriate position. The clip is rivetted straight through the whole back side of the case. Very well made.
Unless the design has changed in the last couple of years. This case is "not" a good Idea for the Iphone 4. I works well only with the power button placed in the case up like it is in the picture. If the phone is placed in the case with the power button down, it will activate the shutdown sequence, because the button is pressed if the phone is not placed power button up. Otherwise, I'm buying from this company for the Iphone 4 due to this cases durability and attention to typical failure points for this type case. Great case just not for the 4. The problem with the power button needing to be placed in the case up is that the phone will enter and exit the case in such a way that the phone willneed to be rotated to accomplish appropriate placement into the hand for use, and into the case, to prevent shutdown mode. Each time the phone is rotated for placement increases the potential for the dreaded drop to the floor. Droped my IP4 first day doing just that.

Review: I had a hipster for my 3G and so naturally ordered one for my iphone 4 before I received my phone. I was curious if it would fit as well as the 3g fit in its case and wasn't disappointed. I am pleased with how well the phone fits into the case. That is, it is snug but not to tight to remove and replace. The snap on the flap sometimes doesn't catch the first time but I have gotten better with practice. From my prior experience with the toughness of the hipster I am certain I will not be disappointed with the durability of this case either.
