Not bad at all...

The vroom is a great case for the money and is a nice fit. Comes off easily so whether you like that or not is up to you. I also must warn against the loss of money or ID/credit cards if you have them loose in your pocket and place the phone in with them... had some close calls and only had it a week... overall nice case but I am on the lookout for one I like better. I recommend using this with the stealth protector's screen.

Yes and no

Great company... Product looks great, protects the glass from the ooops. I do not like the amount of dust and lint it attracts and it does seem to slip all over the phone. I think with a full phone clear protection that might improve.

Great case, and an improvement over the previous version

Like the other reviewers, I ordered this case months ago, have been using it since, and was greeted with a surprise package from Case-Mate with this new version. I was actually quite pleased with the previous version, but I'm glad they sent me this new one because they've definitely improved it. What's good: 1) I want a case that is going to give me the best chance of my phone not breaking if I accidentally drop it (hasn't happened yet, luckily), not one meant primarily to protect from scratches or look cool. While this one does both of those, it also is made of a nice rubbery material that will likely absorb most of the shock of a direct impact. That's why I went with the case in the first place and that's why I'm going to continue using it. 2) They've improved fit of the case, so now it is nice and snug. Like another reviewer mentioned, part of the reason for the new snugness is because it now wraps around more and covers the bezel, but it doesn't really bother me. 3) They've done a much better job this time around of accommodating the buttons. Since it's thick-ish rubber, the first version was sort of awkward to adjust the volume. They've now cut a nice groove on the inside that the buttons fit into and then slightly raised the outside so that you can feel the buttons, though they are fully covered. 4) It was previously a pain to get at the silent switch, but they've improved the shape of the cutout, so it's easier to get to now. A small thing, but definitely makes a difference. What's not so good: 1) Despite being thinner than the previous version, it's still pretty thick, and people who want to retain the sleek look of their phone probably won't like it. Again, I'm in it mainly for the rubber corners, so it works for me. 2) The new material is definitely less of a dust magnet, which is nice, but it's also less grippy. With the old version, you could almost stick the phone to the wall it was so grippy. Sure, it was a bit of a hassle to get out of your pocket sometimes, but I enjoyed the feeling that it wasn't going anywhere. The new material is a little slicker, though I suspect it may just be a light coating of wax or something that will wear off. Final thoughts: It's always been a good case and the new version bumps it up to great-case range. Plus, sending customers a free upgrade is pretty sweet.

New and improved vs. the first version

First off, I just have to say this company rocks!! I had purchased the first version a few months back and then I came home this past week to find a box at my door. Inside was the "new and improved" Vroom as well as a Thank You card explaining why they sent me a new one. Who does that anymore? Well, Case-mate does!!! As far as design goes, I like the first version better. The new one wraps itself all the way around the bezel whereas the first version leaves some of the bezel showing...which is why I wanted it to begin with. The new version is also more pliable than the first. This new one seems to move around quite a bit. I liked the stiffness of the first one. What I like more about this new one is that it's not the dust magnet that the first one is. I only used the first version once because of this. Overall I would say improvements were made over the original. I personally will not use this new and improved Vroom because I want to show off the bezel on my iPhone but I appreciate the opportunity to have tried them both!!!

Q) I notice some design changes in the 3G Vroom case that's currently on your website and the one on youtube reviews & on some other web retailers sites. Is this a revised case to give the iphone more face down coverage to cover the entire silver edge?
A) Yes, we have modified the design for a better fit.

Q) Does the Vroom work with your holster? it looks like it would.
A) Sorry, but the vroom is not designed to work with our holsters.
