Good design / lousy construction
While I loved the design, which offers good protection and ease of access, the overall construction is CHEAP. The belt clip gave out in 2 weeks, and the covering delaminates. Great design, terrible execution.

I wasn't happy with this product at all. Had to buy a replacement from a mall kiosk after only a week. The new one is going strong 6 months later.

iPhone Horizontal Hipster
This is my second case I've purchased in 18 months. The design idea is very good. The quality of construction and materials selection is poor.
This is the second case where the thin leather delaminates from the plastic substructure within the first 3 weeks of use, at the snap closure. A little Gorilla Glue between the snap and leather fixes this problem. After about a year, the leather case looks well worn and needs to be replaced.
Overall I like the design concept, but a little better manufacturability design and better material selection would make this a a very nice case that I could recommend to others.

Poor belt tab construction
After having used the case mate for 9 months, the stitching around the belt tab wore out causing the entire case to wear out.

I would like to say that the Casemate horizontal hipster case for the iphone 3GS is of superior quality. And the molded leather perfectly fits and totally protects the phone nicely.

second one I have had. Like most about it, but fabric pulls loose at top edge and around magnetic button. Needs reinforcement at top edge and better adhesion around mag button.
