| Pros: |
nice design, easy to use, protective |
| Cons: |
belt clip cheap metal, wore out in weeks, cheap overall construction |
|
Purchased From: on line
Review: While I loved the design, which offers good protection and ease of access, the overall construction is CHEAP. The belt clip gave out in 2 weeks, and the covering delaminates. Great design, terrible execution.

| Pros: |
Great idea and well thought out design |
| Cons: |
Poor quality of manufacturing |
|
Purchased From: On line
Review: This is my second case I've purchased in 18 months. The design idea is very good. The quality of construction and materials selection is poor.
This is the second case where the thin leather delaminates from the plastic substructure within the first 3 weeks of use, at the snap closure. A little Gorilla Glue between the snap and leather fixes this problem. After about a year, the leather case looks well worn and needs to be replaced.
Overall I like the design concept, but a little better manufacturability design and better material selection would make this a a very nice case that I could recommend to others.

too snug for my iPhone 3GS with barely there cover |
|
Purchased From: online
Review: This Horizontal Hipster is very nice looking, but is too snug for an iPhone 3GS with the Barely There case. In addition, it has not held up well, with the leather covering getting abraded early on around the edges in every day use. Would be nice for only "dress occasions" but I found another case I like better for 1/3 the $$.

| Cons: |
fabric separates from leather on interior at snap |

Purchased From: case-mate.com
Review: I've had this case for over two years. It's a nice case. Sleek design that looks nice and is easy to get phone in and out of. After several months the fabric came apart from the leather on the front flap where the snap is. I'd give it five stars if that were fixed. I re glued mine and it's still okay. I need a new one for cosmetic reasons that are normal with two years of every day wear. I'm getting the same case again. If that doesn't say how much I like it I don't know what does.

| Pros: |
Aesthetics, protection, accessibility |
| Cons: |
Belt clip design |
|
Purchased From: retail store
Review: Aesthetically pleasing. Great hard-case protection for device. Headset port and speakerphone exposed for use while in case. Leather on belt clip will shred off, exposing metal clip. A simple steel clamp on the extreme end of the clip would have prevented this. Also, the clip itself will spread, causing excessive gap, and allowing it to be easily lifted off belt. The clip is permanently riveted to the case and is not serviceable. A supplemental loop would give more peace of mind, especially for active use, inversion and motorcycling. Great case for less-than-energetic people who stay indoors.

Purchased From: CaseMate (direct)
Review: I've used this case for nearly a year and found it to be an excellent choice. The case is opened and closed frequently every day and has held up and protected the phone very well.
I noticed in other reviews some concern with the metal closure button possibly scratching the display when taking the phone in and out. After much use this simply hasn't occurred to my phone.
I would certainly recommend the Hipster case.

Review: I wanted a belt clip holder for quicker/easier access to my phone. This one fit the bill perfectly. It stays on my belt securerly and flips open easily. Sometimes there's a little fumbling to close with the snap.
It's fallen a few times and there's been absolutely no damage to the phone - the leather case provides great protection.
After 3 months I did have to get a replacement, as the lining in the flap came loose, perhaps because I pulled on it wrong a few times.
Ovearll, I've been please with this case and with the purchase from casemate.com. I would recommend to anyone looking for a belt case.

Review: This was a great purchase for me and my husband because it is a terrific way to stay in touch at almost all times. It fits well on just about any belt or pant and does not turn or slip like some others. It is also very attractive. Even for a GIRL! :)
The only problem I have had with my small hands is getting the phone out of the holster at times. But my husband had one previously and said it will form to the phone with use and it does get easier to remove the phone. Let's hope that does get better. But I do still really love it!!

Review: The first Hipster I received had very soft leather surrounding the belt clip which quickly tore and the exposed metal started scratching my belts. Case-Mate replaced this case which was very nice of them. The replacement has held up much better until recently the clip seems to have gotten bent and it does not fit snuggly on my belt like it used to do. This still seems to be one of the best horizontal holsters I have owned but there still is room for improvement.
