I had my iPhone 3GS in the back pocket of my biking shirt (just in the case, without the holster) when I flipped my bike in a tangle with some guys with whom I was drafting. We were going well over 20 mph at the time. The phone flew out out of my back pocket and landed about 20 yards down the road. It scuffed the leather on two corners and cracked the plastic frame underneath, but the phone was undamaged. I also got scuffed and cracked along with my team mates, but fortunately, nothing serious. I am ordering a new case right now.

Fantastic case for 3G iPhone
I've had this case for over year and use it every day. The holster and belt clip are robust and show no signs of wear. A) The Case and Holster Combo is designed for the Case to face towards your body to obtain maximum security. We do not recommend you to place the Case outwards as it places more tension on your case and Holster.

Q) Will this case fit a 1st generation iPhone?
A) The 3G Signature Case does not fit the 1G Phone. However, we do offer the 1G Signature Case. The 1G Case is compatible with the 3G Signature Holster.
Q) 1. Is the ratchet fully 360 degree rotating, or are there stop limits? 2. Is the hinge pin metal or plastic? thanks
A) The holster comes with a multi-directional, 360-degree ratcheting belt clip which allows for adjustability. The hinge pin is metal the clip is plastic.
Q) Will this fit the new iPhone 3GS 32 GB model?
A) Yes, this case with fit the new iPhone 3GS.
Q) Do you need to remove the phone from case to charge/sinc with regular usb cable/car charger? Thanks.
A) No. The Signature Leather Case allows you to charge and sync the phone with the USB cable and car adapters without having to remove it from the case.
Q) Does the sliding case fit car holders or does the phone have to be pulled out of case?
A) We are unable to confirm it would fit with all charges, however, in most situations you should not have to remove the case to use the mobile charger.
