Review: As other reviews note, this case does not hold up. The clip on mine eventually broke. The case itself also has a poor design as the corner near the mute/volume buttons does not have any support. Eventually the narrow vertical piece at the top left corner breaks and now I have a flappy case with a broken holster. Too bad, as this is a very nice case when new. But at $50 it is too expensive for how long it will last.

Review: While there is great protection, accessibility and convenience offered by this product, the clip design is poor.
The pin on the clip is metal but its surround and what connects it to the clip itself is plastic.
The weakest part is what goes first...it happened TWICE for me...
Casemate replaced the first holster but wouldn't replace the second so now i'm stuck with the leather surround and no holster :(
I would NOT purchase this product again.

Review: I love this case and holster combo so much, that I have had around 20 of them during the lives of my last two iPhones. They are cool, functional and almost exactly what I need in a case. Unfortunately, there are negatives for this combo and they are the lack of durability (I wouldn't have needed 20 of them if that weren't the case), the occasional case that fits crooked on the phone, the fact that the case fits way too snugly in the holster and frequently causes aesthetic damage to the leather on the case and that the holster frequently breaks after extensive use. All of that being said, I already have a new case and holster sitting on the shelf ready to replace these, when they reach the end of their life. I would totally recommend this combo, but I encourage Case-Mate to look into these flaws and make a great case even better.

Review: The case looks good the first week and functions well. The major draw back is the lining material in the holster creates excessive wear on the leather case. After a month I am looking for a new case due to the unsightly wear between materials. The lining material is a nylon material that is abrasive enough to wear at the thin leather. The quality of leather is also another issue due to wear at exposed areas. See images for location of where wear is excessive. I would expect the amount of wear only after 3-4 months not 1 month. Finally the holster design is not easy to insert the phone with out visual confirmation to align. The holster does not create secure enough of a fit to feel confident it will not fall out.

Review: Great case I love it but they don't last. Until I can find a case with this type of setup I'll be using casemate. I am a very heavy user of my phone and Always taking it in and out of the case. I have not found one yet, so hopefully casemate will make them more durable in the future, especially the strength of the holsters.

Review: This is a beautiful case. The leather work is outstanding. Everyone who sees it is impressed. Now for the negative.
The holster fits too tight and it takes effort to get the Ipod out. If you attempt to hold the holster at the same time it only makes matters worse. They should not have used leather on the inside of the holster. It should be some other material that doesn't grab the Ipod Case. Because the Ipod case is hard to remove, it pulls right off the belt. Their belt clip engineer didn't do his homework. It design is flawed at the bottom of the clip. If they fix the clip so that it doesn't come off the belt, this would be the best system for the Ipod.

Review: I purchased the white version of the signature series leather case and used it with the signature series leather holster. Since my case was white, and the holster was black, I found that every time I slid the phone into the holster, it left black streaks along the back of my white case. These streaks do NOT wash out and will be there for the remainder of the life of your case, especially if you continue to use the recommended holster.
Also, when the case arrived, the leather had a bunch of imprints and lines impressed into it and it was anything but smooth.
Overall, the case is good protection for your phone, but stay away from the WHITE one, especially if you are using it with the holder.

Review: As many of us do, I recently dropped my two month old iPhone 3GS as I was in a rush to get to work. Of course, it landed on concrete and I was positive it was damaged.
When I checked it out thoroughly, I was amazed and relived to find that this particular case took the hit and lived up to every penny I paid for it. There was absolutely no damage to the phone or case and oddly, very little to the holster except for a minor scuff on the edge.
I have never owned a case that fully protected my phone when accidently dropped. This one is the first.
Hopefully, I will never drop my phone again but I can assure you, for me, this case is the way to go if you are serious about full protection.
Only the top of the phone is somewhat exposed but even that is recessed so if it should fall or any of the edges should be scrapped, the case will take the blunt, not the phone.
In fact, right after this review, I'm ordering another signature holster with a different color leather sleeve.

Review: After working a 14 hour day I wasn't paying complete attention and left my iphone on the back of my Avalanche and drove back to hotel. The next morning I remembered that I had put my phone on the back of my truck and had to retrace my 6 mile drive from the night before. I was amazed that I found my phone about 3.5 miles away from the job on the side of I40 in Oklahoma City. It had apparently been run over and knocked to the side of the interstate. The case was damaged but minimal damage to the phone and it still works !!! Maximum protection !!! See photos.

Review: I really like this case. Smooth, sleek black leather has a great feel in your hand and a classic, professional look that I feel compliments the iPhone while adding protection to the phone if dropped. This case also comes with a holster that I initially thought would be a "have-to have", however, once I began carrying the iPhone just in it's case in my pocket, I found that the holster will be used only occaisionally. Other that the one con listed, I haven't any other negative comments. Well worth the cost.

Review: I was looking for a protective case that was not too bulky and would work with a holster clip. Although the Signature fills this criteria, it could use a little improvement. Although the leather provides an excellent tactile grip and looks classy, it is a bit bulky, especilly on the edge of the screen, making it difficult to type letters on the keyboard that are on the edge, and hard to move icons to an adjacent screen.
Another problem I have found is the holster retention decreases over time, making the phone easily slip out accidentally. These are relatively minor issues, but for the price, they should not exist, in my opinion.
With all that said, I would still recommend this case and holster.

Review: I bought this case/holster combo to put on my iPhone 3GS. I really like the combo...the leather case makes it easy to grip the phone and the holster holds it tightly. My first holster clip broke but case mate quickly replaced it for me free of charge. I will note that when you plug the phone up it tends to slide the phone out some...so as the case settle's the phone isn't as secure but it's not too bad. Another note is that the top of the phone isn't protected if dropped. It is hard to type of the outer edges of the screen with the case on...but I manage. Overall I like the combo!

Review: Looking at this product online, it seemed to fit my lifestyle. Several reviews indicated that access to side buttons caused some sort of unintensional pressing of buttons. This concerned me, so I asked the rep from case mate what she knew about this problem. It turned out that she owned, used and loved this case. Based on our conversation I ordered it and I too use and love this case everyday. Bottom line read reviews and then call casemate and ask about any known problems. You could miss out on a great product if you don't.

Review: Purchased combo and after three months the case was still going strong. Fits iPhone well and leather is of a fine quality. The holster on the other hand snaped off way two easy. Being made of plastic it doesn't take much to break it off. Mine got caught on the arm of my office chair while sitting down. Got a new case with a metal clip covered in leather and it has survived many of the same type of encounters.

Review: Recently purhased the Signature leather case and holster. Found that the belt clip makes it very uncomfortable to wear because the top of the clip extends up to far and digs into your side! Additionally, the iPhone case, which is very protective, provides challanges when using some funtions such as the keyboard because the case is so thick on the sides. When using you must hit the buttons at an angle! Have since purchased the barely there case and horizontal hipster combo. You don't know your wearing it! Highly recommend it.

Review: As far as a leather case is concerned, the product is exactly as stated. The materials as far as my case is concerned has not held up to just regular handling. The liner has come undone in a few areas of the case. The leather has come undone where it is attached to the plastic case. For the amount I paid for this case, I expect the case to stand up to every day handling. Of course it being the Iphone that the case is covering, I treat it with respect. And in my opinion the case doesn't stand up for the amount you pay for.

Review: The case and clip are excellent. The case fits the iPhone like a glove while the clip is sturdy yet adjustable. It was exactly what I was looking for at the time.
But at one point I started notice a significant difference in battery life. I followed all the advice I found online regarding this issue to no avail. It could barely get by a day of minimal usage with no Wifi, EDGE instead of 3G, no pulling, no notifications, no location services, and screen brightness turned to 33%.
Then I found several tips regarding recharging the iPod Touch (http://bit.ly/9xyqX): "Charging your iPod [...] while in certain carrying cases may generate excess heat."
Grasping at straws at this point, I spent the next day with no carrying case. Voilà , battery life back to normal.

Review: This is an excellent case for protection of the phone. I started using it to keep the phone safe upon accidental droppage. Upon using the case, I noticed that I had some limited access to the Q and P keys on the keyboard. The sides wrap around to the front just close enough to the display that my fingers have trouble easily accessing the outer keyboard keys. However, I definitely stand by its protective capabilities.

Review: Working in public safety I have found that the design of this case works great for me. The fact that the case is vertical and the option to swivel is also a big plus. The leather case (I have two) are well designed and hold up very well but the holsters, both of them, the leather has peeled off. I would purchase a holster (pouch) that provides vertical slide out like the original holster but in a pouch style and also accommodates the leather pouch or a barely there case mate. Again, great design and product. Thanks.

Review: I would not give this an Excellent, mainly due to issues I have had with the case. These may well be just how I use it, but it affects my opinion, which is what this review is...
The case is thicker than most rubber/silicone types, and it seems to affect my ability to touch near the edges. I have been able to workaround this by holding the iPhone at a specific angle in my left hand, while holding my right hand at a fixed angle as well. It is not the natural way I held it with the rubber case.
The other issue I have had has to do with how I seem to be turning off the ringer switch too many times when I remove the iPhone from the holster. I do not notice doing it, and it only seems to make it know that I did it when I plug in a charger and it vibrates. It is also a bit difficult to turn the switch back to normal, I find myself having to push the phone out of the case to reach the switch.
This case is not my be-all, end-all case, for me, and I will keep looking for that case, if it exists. Until then, this is a very well made, good case, which I will use everyday.

Review: I purchased two of these holsters, one each for my wife wife and I. Up until this point, I have never been satisfied with a cell phone holster as none of them have ever functioned properly or as advertised. I must say the Case-Mate case and holster have achieved what no one else has been able to. It is attractive, well designed, well fitting and does not inhibit the functionality of the phone in anyway. The only issue I have found is a minor problem during editing. Because the case is so well fitted to the phone touch screen, it makes it difficult to move the editing bubble to the front or end of a line of text. With a little practice you can overcome the issue and move on.
