Design flaw with Clip
I have owned this case/holster combo for just barely over 6 months and have had no issues with it until yesterday when the clip just snapped off when I was trying to put the holster on. This is obviously a design flaw judging by previous posts. How can a company not order 100 extra clips during production to give out or even sell to customers with this problem? I would have highly recommended this product to others, but not likely to now.

Until this holster is redesigned, I would stay away from it.

Good, but not for Everyday Use
I have owned this case for a little over 6 months. The leather portion is durable and supple, but the plastic clip fails pretty miserably under modest use.
Mine failed when the clip separated from the holster, something that could have been designed with a metal part rather than plastic numbs. Too bad, this is a really great case & design, but I can't recommend it based on the short life of the plastic parts.

Planned obsolescence feature not highlighted
Although overall this is well-made, the likeliest point of failure (clip hinge) is a tiny plastic clip. If this was well-engineered, this part would be more sturdy or made of metal. If well-intentioned, Case-Mate would offer a replacement part at a minimum. Clearly, given that the question about availability (or, more accurately, unavailability) of a replacement clip is listed on the product page, clip failure is not uncommon. But, rather than offer a replacement part for a reasonable charge, buy a new one instead! Great. I will not buy another Case-Mate product, given this poor customer service approach.
