very good iphone protection at this price point
overall, i would have to say that i am very satisfied with this purchase. I shopped around online and the more traditional "bricks-and-mortar" stores (including 2 different apple stores in NYC!)but this case & holster combo had the best features at this price. yes, similar to a previous review, i have experienced that the top half of the protective cover will sometimes give a "trapped liquid" appearance underneath (and yes, i did remove the protective plastic coating prior to assembly) but only at some viewing angles. the best selling points about this case: removable holster that doubles as a kickstand to view movies/pictures in either portrait or landscape mode! very cool indeed. :)

Want a scratched phone, buy this case.
After the frist two hours, I removed the phone from the case, the back of my nice black iphone appeared from the case with 1 deep and two smaller scratches down the back. These were a direct result of the back plastic rubbing against the case of the iPhone. Once I wised up, I taped a business card on the back of the phone..but this is not a solution. Ironic how I bought a $30 case to protect your NEW iPhone only to have the case scratch the phone. Case-Mate should either warn of this or remedy the problem ASAP. Warranty Refund and Damages?

Not what I was hoping for.
The main reason I bought this case is for its integrated screen protection. However, the screen covering is one of the worst aspects of this product. First of all, it doesn't completely touch each part of the screen, so it produces an ugly ripple effect on the parts it does touch, which makes it look like water is on the screen (someone actually asked me if this was the case). The ripple effect wouldn't bother me that much, but since the screen cover doesn't completely touch each part of the screen, it's easy for fuzz and dust to get underneath the cover because of the openings around the home button and earpiece. I can honestly say I've been overly careful with it and I still have debris under the cover. However, that's not the worst part. The worst part of this case has to do with inserting and removing the iPhone. The latch/button on the back is very difficult to click into place when inserting the phone and it is nearly impossible to remove the phone from the case without scratching it. The holster is fine, but I never feel like my phone is completely secure when I'm not wearing it turned on its side, which I don't like at all. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this case based on my experience with it.

Maximum Protection and functionality of iPhone 3G and 3G-S
The case is made of very durable thick clear plastic and the screen is completely covered with a touch snesitive built-in screen. I have witnessed my wife's phone crash to the ground many times with no damage. A few people have pointed out a con of the case is that the screen is peeling off or it is easy to gouge the screen material with a fingernail. It might that, (becasue the same thing happend to me), they are really seeing a thin protective peel-off coating over the screen of the case, which is how it is shipped, giving the impression that the screen is defective when it is not. Also, the optional belt clip/holster has a clip that rotates 360 degrees so, in addition to a clip, the holster can be used to prop up the phone in either portrait or landscape mode which is ideal for viewing. The belt clip locks into place and it's important to note that until you learn how to unlock the clip the first time, it can be a bit tricky to get it unlocked but once you have done it once, after that, it's a snap.

Q) How do I remove the Naked Case from my device?
A) We ask that you press and hold the release button on the Naked Case with one hand. While using the palm of your other hand to slide/retract the back plate of the case in the opposite direction.
Q) Does the 3G Naked Comb fit the 16gig iPhone 3G?
A) The iPhone 3G product line will support the 4gig, 8 gig, and 16 gig iPhones.
Q) Can you get a naked case combo in black.
