Beware
This case is not very rugged. 1st one i bough the clip broke. Case-mate sent me a replacement and the clip broke on that one. They allowed me to keep both but there is no holster that will fit them. They charge my phone great and sync well too. Only problem is I cant find a holster that will fit these batteries with broken clips. Try again Case-mate.... You can do It.

Love it / Hate it
I love the Fuel, but it will freeze when triggered by an undetermined phone function. Once frozen, it has not reset options and must be replaced. My 2nd has died within 70 days of purchase. Good thing is they replaced them with no hassle.

Avoid Purchasing
I'm on my FOURTH one. 1st one died, 2nd one clip broke, 3rd one died. There has to be something better on the market from another manufacturer. The good news is, apparently, that Case Mate knows it's junk and have been very good about replacing it when it breaks.

Q) Does this work with my iPod connector?
A) No, the fuel does not use the standard 32 pin iPhone cable. The fuel comes with its own mini-usb cable to connect to your computer for data transfer and charging.
Q) Will my iPhone transfer data (Music, Pictures, Videos) through iTunes while in the Fuel?
A) Yes. Although, it does not use the standard iPhone 32-pin connector, the fuel comes with a mini-usb cord that allows you to connect to iTunes as normal, to transfer data and charge your phone.
Q) What kind of battery does the fuel use and why is it better?
A) The fuel uses a rechargeable lithium polymer battery.
Lithium Polymer has a higher energy density than other batteries, and can provide more power in less space.
They also have a much lower self-discharge rate than other batteries have. This means that a fully-charged lithium polymer battery will keep its full charge for weeks on end, without having to be re-charged. Comparatively, other batteries lose up to 25% of their charge after being stored for just one week without usage.
Q) Why is the fuel better than other battery packs?
A) The fuel is better than other iPhone battery packs on the market because of its battery type and size. It has a 2300 mA battery, which is more than any other battery pack for the iPhone. Also, the lithium polymer battery is a superior battery because of it's capacity and discharge rate.
Q) Can you put the iPhone in the holster with the face towards the inside? This would protect the screen and privacy. Please advise. Thanks.
A) The iPhone 3G fuel can only be inserted with the screen facing out.
Q) Does it also work with the itouch?
A) The iPhone 3G fuel is not designed to work with the iPod Touch.
Q) Will fuel work with clear armor on the iphone?
A) No, the Clear Armor product can not be used with the iPhone Fuel
Q) How much does the fuel weigh without the iPhone in the fuel unit, and with the iPhone in the fuel unit?

A) The fuel weighs 3.2 oz. With an iPhone attached it is 8 oz.
Q) Does the 3G charger case work with the original iPhone?
A) Yes, the iPhone 3G fuel will work with the original iPhone. Since the 1G iPhone is a few millimeters wider that the 3G iPhone the fit is a little tighter on the device.
Q) Is the clip removeable?
A) The iPhone 3G fuel clip is not removable.
Q) Can I use some type of protective case for the iPhone in this clip charger?
A) The fuel is not designed to be used with any other case
Q) How long does a full charge take?
A) If both the iPhone 3G and the fuel are empty a full charge will take 6 hours.
Q) I just received the Fuel Iphone case. When you plug the case in to a computer using the usb connector with the the IPhone in the case do you leave the on/off button on or off on the case to charge the phone?. Last night the case was plugged in to the computer with the case on/off button off on the case. The case was charged but my phone was almost dead. The case charged but the phone did not. Do I need to leave the the on/off button in the on position while the phone is being charged? Please advise.
A) The fuel will only charge the iPhone when it is in the on position even if the usb cable is plugged into a power source.
Q) I just received my fuel case,when I unwrapped it the yellow light was on, I plugged the mini usb into my ipod usb power adapter so the yellow would turn to green, plugged it into the wall and light turned to red. How long before it goes to green? If the yellow was on why did it go to red when plugged in? Help! Thanks.
A) The yellow light indicates the battery is low or below 40%. It turns red when you are charging the Fuel. When the Fuel is completely charged the light will turn green.
Q) What about the speakers? they are @ the bottom of the device doesnt that block the sound coming from the speakers when hearing you ring from the phone?
A) The small holes at the bottom of the device allow the sound to come through just fine. I just watched some youtube videos on my fuel and it was great!

Q) Is there an adapter for a wall outlet that the USB can plug into to charge?
A) A wall adapter is not included but you can use any standard USB wall adapter with the included cable.
