Purchased From: online
Review: IDK about the other people but i have this case for almost a year and there is not a problem with it. Everybody thinks its a cool case in the school. The only major bad thing is about it is when u try to move your apps to another screen its really hard cause the case is in the way, but other than that its an awesome case. Worth the money.

| Pros: |
Form-fitting, nice-looking, light weight |
| Cons: |
Exposed top and camera corner |
|
Purchased From: Amazon
Review: I bought this due to the great reviews and I really like the case in general, but I dropped my phone one time and one time only so far and that one drop it landed on the corner where the headphone jack goes and actually cracked the back of my iphone. The back has a small separation from the front and sometimes a thin white line appears on the screen. Figures the corners that are open and exposed are VERY susceptible to damage.

Beautiful, high quality, durable |
| Cons: |
Thick edges makes it hard to type |
|
Purchased From: eBay
Review: I love this high-class case. Unfortunately, the thickness of the left and right edges makes it awkward to type the soft keys on both sides. I wrote Case-Mate support and the staff was very accommodating. They are sending me a different model and I hope it'll be thinner. But I sure hate to part with this beautiful case.

| Pros: |
Very modern looking. Protects the phone well except for the top at the entry point. |
| Cons: |
Leather starts to come apart where the charger connects. Doesn't protect the top of the phone very well. |
|
Purchased From: Case-Mate
Review: I purchased this case a couple of months ago. I like the looks and the feel of the case - and it is a little different from most. My only gripe is the leather starts to come apart where the charger connects to the bottom of the phone. I had to superglue the leather back, so I could make sure the charger makes good contact.

Review: Luckily I purchased my Case-Mate leather and carbon fiber iPhone case just prior to the onset of Al Gores global warming horrors.
When the ice caps melted and the polar bears could no longer find their natural prey, they moved south. North Carolina's Research Triangle area seemed to meet their needs. Their was a huge supply of young college ideaologues coupled with aging hippies. Neither of these groups are willing or capable of defending themselves. The polar bears found them easy pickings and grew lazy with the plentful prey.
On that fateful day, I happened to be headed for the University, where weapons are not allowed, so I had to leave my Glock 23 at home. I was thinking about co-eds and other pleasant thoughts and let my guard down.
That's when the bear attacked. The only thing close to a weapon at my disposal was my iPhone encased in my Case-Mate leather and carbon fiber case. As the lowered his massive head to tear out my throat, I jammed my iPhone into his mouth, wedging in behind his molars between the upper and lower jaws, thus making it impossible for him to bite me. This gave me time to find a soft old professor type in a tweed jacket with leather patches on his elbows. I was easily able to overpower him and offer him up to the bear.
Due to the incredible protective powers of the Case-Mate leather and carbon fiber iPhone case, my iPhone was in perfect working order. I was thus able to call the professors wife and inform her of her husbands demise.
She thanked me for letting her know, and being an aging hippie herself, she felt honored that her husband was able to provide sustanance to such a lovely endangered species as a polar bear. She said she was greatful that I had been able to allow her husband that honor and would I like a nice fresh brownie with a little something extra in it?
And that's how the Case-Mate leather and carbon fiber iPhone case saved my life. Every word of this is true, give or take a lie or two.

Review: I'm not sure what type of daily use other reviewers are subjecting their phones to. Mine has not worn or broken or bent in over a year, and I have a 22 month old who tries to use the phone everyday. The margin by the vibrate button is a bit tight though, but accessible. The case can be damaged by accident, but that does not detract from its quality for normal use.

frame broke |

Purchased From: case-mate.com
Review: I purchased this cover about six months ago. The finish looks great and it protects the phone really well, however, the frame of the cover broke near the side buttons (my 2-year old was playing with it and bent it), and now my phone slips out of the top very easily. For the price, I was expecting more and am disappointed in this flaw. It should have been made more pliable.

| Pros: |
Very durable shell, improved top load design |
| Cons: |
vibrate button inaccessible |

Purchased From: Case mate online store
Review: The last case I bought was the regular leather and it split at the seams, so I spent the money and upgraded to this model. I liked it at first as the old case mate leather case bottom loaded so when you pushed the top button it would put the phone out of the case. This model loads from the top now, so that is no longer a problem (good improvement). Unfortunately the vibrate switch - it is so close to the leather, that when its activated, you can't reach it to pull it out unless you have long nails or actually bend the leather to get to it. That is very bad in my opinion. Otherwise seems like a very solid, rugged case. Wait til they come out with the next model of this to fix the vibrate-button problem, then g2g
