From the start, case-mate has been obsessed with creating the best products to protect your mobile technology, while complementing the design of the device...or even enhancing the design with our own awesome style. Obsessed, you say? Oh yes, obsessed. We inspect each and every one of our products before they’re shipped. Every box is folded on-site, every case is hand-packed. No other case manufacturer can say the same.

What else would you expect of a company started by a group of engineers who get giddy just thinking about the latest gadgets on the market. You can't imagine how hopped up we get thinking up newer, cooler, safer, more sophisticated ways to protect mobile devices. It’s been this way since back in the fall of 2005 when we, typical designers that we are, became fascinated with the expensive leather case designs for the Apple iPod. Pondering it during our lunch break one day, we mutually came to two conclusions: 1) we didn’t want to fork over that much cash for a case, and 2) we could create a better, less expensive case ourselves.

So we took a chance...spent weekends tinkering with different materials and tweaking case designs...until finally this hobby morphed into real product, and a real vision. Our first product was an impact-resistant shell that perfectly conformed to the shape of the iPod, all wrapped up in rich leather. The design took us overseas to India and China - we met with plastics engineers, leather craftsmen and manufacturers. At last, when we came up with a case that was good enough for our own iPod at the right price point, well, that’s really when we became case-mate.

Since, we proudly launched our first case and began to take orders on our website in December 2005, we’ve added a good number of folks to the case-mate family and we’re not taking that term lightly. From the warehouse to our president’s office, we all work together in one building - and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Afterall, case-mate nerf dart wars occasionally break out (okay, all the time) and it’d be really hard to hit coworkers from another building.

We love what we do, we love being on the cutting edge of the next cool gadget, we love protecting your iPhones, Blackberry smartphones and laptops - most of all, we love going the distance to take care of our customers. We’re all too aware that without you, we would still be back at that lunch table talking over ideas, instead of here now, contemplating future product designs.
