Case for the looks, mild protection
This is a very nice case, but it could be better. The chrome screen protector indeed is transparent when the screen is on, though there is slight color distortion on the screen and lots of glare if you're outside.
The case itself a flexible plastic, and the chrome finish is a lot darker than it appears on the website (its reflective, but not like a mirror). Your E71's corners are protected, but the case does not protect from face-down drops. It's also not a perfect fit, and you can feel the case shift around if you squeeze the edges.
Over all, a sleek looking case. Pretty cool.
