LOVE IT!
Purchased this for my boss who is constantly on his Blackberry -- he LOVES it (and he's a tough critic) -- now he can talk, check e-mail and a million other things simultaneously without worrying about his Blackberry battery going dead.

Great Idea
Unfortunately, I'm on my third Fuel, the latter two of which have been provided promptly and courteously by Case-Mate. The retaining clip first weakens, which obliges EXTREME caution on the part of the wearer to avoid having the smartphone pop free and plummet to the ground, or a puddle. Then, ultimately the clip fractures completely.
I am now using it exclusively as an in-car battery extender.
I bought my step-son a Fuel for his iPhone, and he loves it. The design of the iPhone enables a more secure lockiing mechanism, and he can Twitter, Facebook, text message, and listen to music all day long now without loss of power.
If you don't intend to use it as a belt clip, like in a purse or a back pack, go for it. Otherwise, be forewarned, and be very, very, careful in service!

Great charger but not very secure.
It's great as a secondary battery, but not that great as a daily device holder. As stated above my Blackberry is a work issued device, and unfortunately there have been several who have already lost or damaged their device from inadvertent drops or because they did not realize the device had fallen out (i.e getting out of cabs, planes, trains, etc...). Your mileage may vary.

Q) What kind of battery does the fuel use and why is it better?
A) The fuel uses a rechargeable lithium polymer battery. Lithium Polymer has a higher energy density than other batteries, and can provide more power in less space. They also have a much lower self-discharge rate than other batteries have. This means that a fully-charged lithium polymer battery will keep its full charge for weeks on end, without having to be re-charged. Comparatively, other batteries lose up to 25% of their charge after being stored for just one week without usage.
Q) Why is the fuel better than other battery packs?
A) The fuel is better than other BlackBerry Bold 9000 battery packs on the market because of its battery type and size. It has a 2300 mA battery, which is more than any other battery pack for the BlackBerry Bold 9000. Also, the lithium polymer battery is a superior battery because of it's capacity and discharge rate.
Q) does the fuel support "sleep function" when bold is placed into it? If it does, I will buy it.
A) Yes, the Bold does support the sleep function while docked in the Fuel.
