Be carefull with it as a protective case
I was a bit disappointed to see that for the Blackberry 9700 the phone face was exposed instead of the phone back in the Blackberry 9000. The first day I used the case/charger, I got out of a car and the phone fell out of the holder onto the ground. It works great as a charger, but the phone is not securely fastened into the holder and will easily fall out. I use the charger on long flights when I'm watching movies and love that feature, but probably could have accomplished the same thing with a less expensive high capacity battery for half the price. The included documentation is BAD.

i just love this product. my only, and i mean only, critical observation of this product is that the clip broke of multiple times. the manufacturer replaced it without question 5 times. they claimed i was the only person that it happened to. it finally ran out of warrantee , but i stilluse it without the clip

Broken holder clip
The clip broke on my unit , called Case-mate, explained my problem they send me a replacement unit,no questions asked. Great customer service.

cool if it worked
My buddy has one and it is very cool so he was kind enough to order one for me. When it came yesterday I was totally excited, but the excitement wore off when it did not work. At 79 bucks for a small snap on case/battery, they could have better quality control. This unit does not charge the Blackberry and even after being on the charger all night still shows 2 lights instead of 3 like it did when I plugged it in 24 hours ago. The little instruction manual has no troubleshooting information and just says what the lights/buttons are, I guess you should not need much as far as directions unless you got a dud. Would have been great to have it for my trip this weekend :(
