I like this case.
I really like the felt iPad case. It's light weight and easy to carry. Holds my cards nicely. The magnet closure grips securely. I wish it would set up like the case apple sells. All in all I like the case. I'm going to take it to the beach this summer.

Awesome protection and, with a mod, easy access
I was initially going to buy the same kind of case I have on my Kindle, but the Kindle weighs much less than the iPad and I was worried about the iPad only being held in the case by 4 straps on the corners. This case solved that by holding the iPad on the length of all 4 sides. The only problem is it's meant for a travel case and there's no access to the port to charge it or transfer data, the earphone jack, the mic, or the speaker. I measured on the iPad where these access ports were and used a very sharp woodcarving knife to slice the leather sides making small access holes exactly where needed. Now I can charge it, hear the speaker, plug in headphones and use the mic all without removing it from the case. I'm VERY happy with it!

I've purchased many cases from case-mate, mostly for my iPhone. This one however, doesn't have any holes cut out for the charger port, speakers, headphones, etc. Just opened four corners.
Even though the original Apple case is poorly made, all the holes are proper. Gonna have to keep the Apple one.

A) The leather surrounds the iPad, but does not cover the screen.
Q) If my iPad gets dropped while it is in the Traveler iPad Folio does it prevent the screen on my iPad from cracking or any similar damage, and does case-mate cover the damage if damage happens?
A) While the Traveler - iPad Felt Folio Leather Case provides some protection, any time a device is dropped there is risk of damage or cracking. Case-mate is not liable for any damages arising from the use of this product.

A) The magnet the iPad folio is a low power magnet and should have no affect o n the iPad functionality.
Q) Does this case or any offer the ability to rest the ipad in the apple dock? Even Apple's own case does not allow this, as I've just discovered. Thanks!
A) The iPad would need to be removed from the case to be seated in the apple dock.
